Abstract

The main objective of this research was to characterize the pedagogical supports for educational attention to students with disabilities, with respect to the existence, function, intensity, use and knowledge of parents and teachers; of 35 non-certified public Educational Institutions, attached to the Secretary of Education of the Department of Huila. The research was developed from a quantitative approach with a non-experimental-transectional design using the survey technique to collect the information. The analysis was performed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. One of the conclusions of this research is related to the fact that the greater existence of pedagogical supports for educational care for students with disabilities in educational institutions is associated with the function of access to information and acquisition of specific knowledge in the following disabilities: Autism Spectrum Disorder (TDA), Hearing Impairment and Intellectual Disability. This has to do with the fact that in some institutions there are support teachers, who request the materials from the education secretaries and, failing that, manufacture them themselves. It was also allowed to establish that systemic disability is the one that shows the least support; and that the pedagogical supports most used in educational institutions focus on intellectual, psychosocial and visual disabilities. Finally, it is concluded that parents and teachers do not know the pedagogical supports that students with disabilities need and those that exist within educational institutions.
